Description

Position summary: Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Schedule Hours: 4 Days On and 4 Days Off
                              7am - 7pm
                              7pm - 7am 
Salary Range:  $20.00 to $35.00 per hour

Position responsibilities:
        

  • Maintains all processing equipment.
  • Must be able to weld and make line change overs.
  • Responsible for line maintenance function, repairs  and operates processing equipment.
  • Maintains gear boxes, sprockets, pumps, etc
  • Inspects the steam distribution system and makes minor repairs to pipes in the steam tunnels
  • Assists in operation amd maintenance of NFPC's water wells; conducts tests on the water and  adds the necessary chemicals as required
  • Tests boiler water and adds chemicals to maintain boiler waste treatment; test cooling tower water and adds chemicals to cooling tower systems to ensure safety, chemically heating, and cooling loops
  • Blows down boilers to regulate the chlorine in the boilers
  • Performs daily checks and walkthroughs on boilers, Ammonia cold storage and vinegar manufacturing chilled water systems and records operating conditions of each system
  • Performs regular maintenance on chemical pumps and lines
  • Performs PM and repairs anywhere in the facility as needed
  • Relieves operators as required.
  • Operates forklifts when necessary.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication, problem solving.
  • Basic computer skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Advanced skills (Journeyman level) required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems, and PLC programming.
