Job Title: Business Development Specialist FLSA status: Non-exempt

Department: Sales Reports To: Director

 

Position summary: Under the direction of the Business Development Director is responsible for supporting the sales, marketing, and product management teams.

Position responsibilities:
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with this position
  • Support research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Organize new business opportunities based on cost and revenue
  • Manage projects and collaborate with other teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Ability to multitask different stages of projects
  • Support the sales and marketing team with Customer Service

Essential skills and experience:

 

  • Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication, problem solving, teamwork, and proficient in Microsoft programs.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate / GED

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Support SQF requirements by maintaining food safety plan and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and Kosher product requirements.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action and or Food Defense issues to the Food Safety and Quality Department.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Safety is vitally important not only at our facility but also from a personal standpoint. Employees are responsible for understanding and following all safety procedures. Likewise, food safety is a key performance indicator. Understanding this, GMP and housekeeping procedures are to be followed as part of any job at our facility.
