Quality Assurance Technician
Position responsibilities:
- Monitors production process to ensure that products meet or exceed Quality Specifications as outlined in QA manual.
- Checks all essential quality factors to include temperature, fill, brix, acidity, and etc. at start-up and during remainder of shift.
- Maintains pack records for each code produced, ensures that codes are correct and legible, makes label checks, and ensures that dud detectors are operating properly, etc.
- Advises Dept. Manager of and deviations from Quality Standards.
- Collects and retains samples as required.
- Must be able to operate lab equipment and perform quality analysis.
- Responsible for other assigned duties to include but not limited to housekeeping, safety, recovering damaged product, and etc.

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Support SQF requirements by maintaining food safety plan and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and Kosher product requirements.
- Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action and or Food Defense issues to the Food Safety and Quality Department.
