                                    POSITION:                      CASE PACKER OPERATOR

 

                                    SHIFT INTENTION:     1st SHIFT WITH FLEXIBILITY

 

  • Operates automatic case packer by use of electrical controls, positions, and opens flaps as needed, picks up filled glassware, bottles and inserts into caser.
  • Maintains flow of cases to sealing machine.
  • Removes any or all soiled cases.
  • Operates I-Pak and Arpac
  • Supply/load cardboard to magazine
  • Adding glue to glue pots
  • Operate computer to control functions of machine
  • Perform case checks on finished product,
  • Set-up and monitor case coder (Imaje)
  • Change units to different case sizes and container configurations.
  • Makes minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Responsible for other assigned duties to include but not limited to housekeeping, safety, recovering damaged product, etc.

 

NOTE: Three to six months of job related experience to become proficient.

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication, problem solving.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate / GED

SQF Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Support SQF requirements by maintaining food safety plan and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manor to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and Kosher product requirements.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action and or Food Defense issues to the Food Safety and Quality Department.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment requires mandatory use of ear plugs.
